New to driving?
You can ask anything.
If you feel unsure about starting lessons, a conversation is a useful first step.

You don’t need
all the answers.
It is easy to imagine everything at once: the controls, the traffic, the test. Start with the part you are unsure about and tell us when you enquire.
Ask how a first session is introduced, how instructions are explained and how to ask for a pause or another explanation. Discussing these things helps you understand what to expect.
Talk about starting lessons ↗Useful things to ask.
Before the lesson
Where will we meet? What should I bring? What happens at the start? Clear practical details give you less to work out on the day.
During the lesson
How should I ask if I do not understand? Can you explain the task another way? Make it a conversation when something is unfamiliar.
After the lesson
What felt clearer? What needs revisiting? Ask for a simple focus for the next session and keep a short note for yourself.
Can I speak to you before arranging a lesson?
Yes. Call, WhatsApp or send an enquiry with your questions, postcode and preferred times.
I have had lessons before but lost confidence. What should I say?
Explain what you practised, how long it has been and the areas you would like to revisit. You do not need to use technical terms.
